NEW: The Anti-Yoga Club Toolkit is out now:

The Anti-Yoga Club

The Anti Yoga Club isn’t “anti yoga.” It’s anti yoga conformity, anti nonsense and definitely anti egotistical yoga teachers. Ego breeds competition and drama in classes.  Here, you will find your tribe: real teachers who ditch the ego, teach authentically, and keep yoga simple and honest.
If you’ve ever sat in a yoga teacher training wondering what on earth the teacher was talking about,  or caught yourself faking a Sanskrit chant you didn’t believe in,  this book is for you.
I’ve been teaching yoga for 23 years. And here’s the honest truth: half of what they teach you on teacher training is only helpful if you plan to teach in a wellness monastery on a mountain. The rest? It’s useless in a normal village hall with real humans.
I wanted to write the book I wish I’d had back when I was trying to teach yoga without selling my soul or becoming a walking spiritual meme. This is the book for teachers who care about helping people move and feel better, but don’t want to stand on a pedestal chanting nonsense.
It’s gritty, it’s practical, it’s occasionally a bit sweary,  and it’s realistic. Because teaching yoga is hard. It’s messy. Sometimes you’ll forget your left from your right, sometimes someone will fall asleep in class and snore, and sometimes you’ll wonder why you ever signed up for this gig.
I’m here to say: you’re not alone. And you can still be a brilliant teacher, even if you think most of yoga culture is silly and occasionally a bit culty!
In The Anti Yoga Club Toolkit, you’ll find:
  • The unvarnished truths about what teaching is really like.

  • A practical toolkit you can actually use (no crystals needed.)

    • Class plans, cueing tips, sequencing frameworks, and workarounds for tricky students.

  • And a gentle reminder that it’s OK to be you, a human, no “guru” status necessary.

A no-fluff guide for yoga teachers who are done with the bullshit

So, if you have ever sat in a yoga training and thought,

“Am I the only one who thinks this is nonsense?”

…welcome to your new favourite corner of the internet.

You can purchase the book here:

The Anti-Yoga Club

……..but if you keep reading there’s a discount for you.

So, here’s a big thank you to you for subscribing (free & paid), this space is not just for my eBook, this is a Substack space for yoga teachers and practitioners to discuss, vent, learn and share.

This Anti-Yoga Club page is a practical, stripped-back resource for yoga teachers who don’t quite fit the yoga mould. It’s not about aesthetics, alignment dogma, or spiritual ego trips. It’s about real movement, real people, and real tools for teaching — without selling your soul to the wellness industry.

This page and eBook is for you if you’re:

  • A teacher who doesn’t chant, cleanse, or call yourself a “space-holder”.

  • A teacher who doesn’t buy in to pseudo-spiritualism.

  • A practitioner who’s been burned by power-hungry lineages.

  • Someone who loves teaching movement but can’t stomach the shite that comes with it.

  • Curious about building classes around function, not performance.

  • If your eyes glaze over when hearing the words “divine feminine energy”, “open your heart chakra”, “surrender to your inner light” “the mat is your alter” “feel the love”, “you’ve got this” …… you get the drift.

Basically, if you’re Anti-Yoga bullshit and you just want to move or teach effectively. The Anti-Yoga Club is for you.
